ECOA Notice Revised

Under Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act), the ECOA notice that needs to be given to the borrower must have the name and address of the federal agency that administers compliance with this law.  The list of federal agencies with names and addresses may be found under Appendix A of the Act.  For those creditors that fall under the regulation of the Federal Trade Commission agency, the address that needs to be included in the notice is:
  1. FTC Regional Office in which the creditor operates; or
  2. Federal Trade Commission, Equal Credit Opportunity, Washington, DC 20580.

DocMagic's Compliance department contacted the FTC for clarification on the above address, and the FTC representative advised the address to use is Federal Trade Commission, CRC-240, Washington, DC 20580.  Even though this address is slightly different from Regulation B, it may still be used.  Therefore, DocMagic has updated its default ECOA notice forms to populate this advised address.

If you wish to have a different federal agency name and address populate, please contact Customer Service with your request.
