At Your Service: DocMagic Updates Nevada Security Instruments

In response to legislation in Nevada requiring the disclosure of a Nevada broker's name and license number, effective May 29, 2009 (read prior article here), Fannie Mae published an authorized change to its Nevada security instrument as Item No. 13 of its Instructions, as follows:

Lenders MAY insert the following information, if required under Nevada law, in the space immediately below and to the left of the text, "Space Above this Line for Recording Data":

          [Mortgage Broker's Name]

NV License # __________

Acordingly, DocMagic's Compliance Department has updated all of its Nevada Uniform Security Instruments to conform to Fannie Mae's authorized change.  For this information to populate onto the appropriate documents, the customer will have to add this information under the "General" tab of the DocMagic application.  Under the "General" tab, click on "Broker Name", and a mini screen, titled "Organize Broker," will pop up.  In the new screen, enter the Broker's Name under "Company Name" and the Broker's license number under "License Number."  Entering this information will allow the correct Nevada licensing information to populate onto the appropriate documents.  See screen shot below.
