To properly configure your computer to use the DocMagic Online Encompass Importer,
and perform an import, follow the steps below.
System/Software Requirements
Internet Explorer 6 or later. Firefox is not supported.
Encompass SDK add-on. See Step 2 below for more details. You can obtain the Encompass SDK from your Ellie Mae representative.
Encompass Professional or better, version 3.5.0 or later. At this time, Encompass does not support the use of the required SDK in the Standard or Personal editions.
Java Runtime Environment version 6 update 10 or later. Click here to download and install Java.
Microsoft .NET Framework version 1.1 or 2.0, Redistributable Package.
Click here to visit Microsoft’s website, download and install the package.

In the Java Runtime Environment 6, Update 10 (and later) you need to disable the next-generation Java Plug-in.
- Click the Java icon, located in your computer's Control Panel.
- On the Advanced tab, expand the Java Plug-in tree and unselect Enable the next-generation Java Plug-in.
- Close all occurences of Internet Explorer.

Enable the Encompass SDK.
NOTE: The SDK comes packaged with your Encompass installation and simply needs to be enabled. To do this, you will need to obtain a license for
the Encompass SDK from your Ellie Mae representative.

Obtain and install the ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll .NET assembly.
- Click here to download the file. Save it to your desktop.
- Click the Administrative Tools icon, located in your computer's Control Panel.
- Click the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 Configuration icon and select Assembly Cache from the navigation tree on the left.

- In the Assembly Cache screen, click the Add an Assembly to the Assembly Cache link.

Browse to, and select, the "ICSharpCode.SharpZipLib.dll" file previously downloaded. This action will silently load the file into the .NET installation. Once
this step is performed, the downloaded *.dll file can be safely deleted.
- To verify the *.dll file was successfully installed, click the View List of Assemblies in the Assembly Cache link to view the installed Assemblies.

Once the above steps are completed, start DocMagic Online. In DocMagic Online, select
File -> Import -> from Loan Origination System. |

Select ENCOMPASS from the dropdown and click the User Credentials button. |

Enter your Encompass login credentials and click Ok. |

Click the Browse button and, in the Import File screen, select the desired file to be imported into DocMagic Online. Once the file is selected, click OK. |

Click Import Now to import the loan data from your Encompass database. |
