HP-4000 Legal only printing
SYMPTOMS How to print on legal paper only with HP 4000 and similar printers.
SOLUTION
To force the HP-4000 and similar printers to print all DocMagic
Forms on
legal paper go to the printer and do the following:
Menu key to the
printing menu
Item key to paper=
Value key to change to "legal"
Press
the select key to record.
In the printer setup for DocMagic set the code
for letter
tray to "1". Leaving the codes blank will cause the printer
to
revert to "smart" mode.
This change will not affect printing from
Windows.
COMMENTS This may work with other HP printers.
