Launching DocMagic for Windows from the Byte software
SYMPTOMS The Qualifier Series (Byte) attempts to launch DocMagic for Windows when
this
error occures... "Cant Create file...."
SOLUTION
Edit the dm.bat file located in..\dsi\dmw. This bat file should read contain
the
following parameters...
CD ..\dsi\dmw
Call oinsight.exe /ap=dm
/un=dm
File and save this the dm.bat file.
Copy the dm.bat file to the
c:\dsi folder.
All of this is dependent on dsi being located on the local c:
drive.
If DocMagic is installed on a network drive be sure to change the
drive letter
accordingly.
Exporting a file from byte:
Click on
communication then closing docs.
Select, "provider DocMagic" then click on
create file.
A dos window will appear which will call DocMagic.
Note:
make sure to close the dos window after DocMagic launches successfully.
