Subject: This week's tip is regarding Printing and Printer compatibility
with the
DocMagic software.
When buying a printer, it is important to
know that your documents will print
properly. DocMagic's printing
capabilities are designed around the industry
standard for printing - the
Hewlett-Packard PCL or Printer Command Language.
Most laser printers are PCL
compatible but some small/home office (soho)
printers use the GDI standard of
printing. If the printer is compliant only with
GDI or PDF printing
languages, it may not print properly with the DocMagic
software. The DocMagic
software functions best when using printers that are
natively compliant with
PCL version five and above. A particle list of printers
compatible with the
DocMagic software, is posted on our
website.

If
a printer you are considering is not on this list, to verify the printers
PCL
abilities, or if you have any questions regarding the DocMagic software
do not
hesitate to contact Document Systems at (800)
649-1362.
