DocMagic in Netware 6
SYMPTOMS Error Message: Filing System Installation Failed Repos BFS_FS 477(or
FS472)
when trying to run DocMagic for Windows in a Netware 6
environment.
SOLUTION
This has only been tested in Windows 2000, but here were the steps to
configure.
Make sure that you have IPX running on both the workstation
and the server.
Your Frame type on the server must be either 802.2 or 802.3
not both. If you
are running IPX and IP on the server it is ok to have your
frame type for IP set
to Ethernet_II.
Your Frame Type on the workstation
must be explicitly defined and not set to
Auto Detect. You will also need to
define your network number.
In Windows 2000 you will need to set the
Novell Network Client for Windows
properties to have the Protocol Preference
set to load IPX as the Preferred
Network Protocol. The list of protocols
below that setting, on the Protocol
Preferences, should list IPX, if it
doesn't then you will need to reinstall the
Netware Client.

assumes that you already have the Revelation NLM's loaded on the server.
