Addition of assistant general counsel bolsters compliance and document creation capabilities
Carson, Calif, Nov. 5, 2003 - Document Systems, Inc. (DSI), a developer of software, tools and Web-based systems for the production of compliant loan document packages, today announced that Lissa Marie Cinat, Esq. has joined the company's Legal Department as assistant general counsel. Cinat's addition bolsters DSI's compliance and document creation capabilities and enables DSI to now have all components of compliant, automated mortgage lending under a single roof.
Cinat joined DSI after gaining experience with both national and international law firms. Prior to joining DSI, Cinat was a member of a public interest law firm based in Detroit, where she tripled revenue production and enjoyed a 99 percent success rate in real estate-related litigation cases. As managing attorney of the firm, Cinat generated more than $1,600,000 in revenue, oversaw a 700 percent increase in unit productivity and was named the most distinguished member of the organization.
She also practiced with Beverly Hills, Calif.-based Rosenfeld, Meyer and Susman in the firm's commercial litigation section and with the corporate defense firm of Kell & Lynch. Upon her graduation from law school, she was a member of the corporate and real estate litigation section of the International law firm of Dykema-Gossett.
Cinat earned a bachelor of arts in Philosophy and Political Science from the University of Michigan, was named Outstanding Upperclassman in Philosophy and earned the title of Angell Scholar during her studies there. She earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Michigan School of Law where she was also the book review editor and associate editor of the Michigan Law Review. While attending law school, she won numerous awards for legal writing and was named Best Oral Advocate in her class.

Cinat's appointment teams her up with Bill Lambropoulos, general counsel and director of compliance for Document Systems, Inc., who also has a distinguished legal career. Lambropoulos joined DSI in September 1998, and has served as director of compliance and legal affairs since that time. Prior to joining DSI, Lambropoulos served as general counsel for a number of national wholesale direct lenders, including One Stop Mortgage, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Aames Financial Corporation; BNC Mortgage, Inc. and Quality Mortgage USA, Inc. Before joining Quality Mortgage, Lambropoulos served as associate general counsel of the California Credit Union League, a trade association representing the interests of credit unions in the state. He was also in private practice in the real estate section of Hill, Wynne, Troope and Meisinger in Los Angeles.
Lambropoulos graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor of arts in Political Philosophy. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan under the law school's accelerated degree program. Lambropoulos is a licensed attorney in California and Texas.
