Tech Tip of the Month: Password Security; E-Mail Read Receipt Added

Document Systems, Inc. ("DSI") is always looking for ways to improve service and security for our DocMagic customers. With this in mind, two new features have been added for customers that Leave Documents for Web (Internet) Pickup or E-mail [documents] to another location. The new options are located in the Security section of the Document Processing Options screen (see below).

Sample 1

When a customer selects the Web Pickup or E-mail option, two choices become available in the Security section -- Require Password and E-mail Read Receipt. DocMagic users may select either option, both or none.

When selecting the Require Password option, the DocMagic user will be able to select one of the pre-defined passwords from the drop down box. Passwords may be selected by "Title Order Number," "Settlement/Closing Number," "Primary Borrower's Last Name," or the "Last 4 Digits of the Primary Borrower's SSN." Additionally, the user may specify a custom password if they choose "Other" from the drop down menu.

When emailing documents to another location, the DocMagic user may also choose whether to display a password hint in the email message by checking the Show password type to recipient check box in the Select Password Type menu.

If the Show password type check box is selected, when the user picks up the documents, the server will display a hint to what the password is in order to retrieve the documents. See the graphic below.

Otherwise, a generic password request dialog box will be displayed to the user:

DocMagic users also have another new feature available to notify them when the loan documents have been retrieved.

If the E-mail Read Receipt option is selected, the DocMagic user will be notified that the documents have been retrieved, with a message detailing the date and time they were accessed, like the one pictured below.
