During DocMagic's recent participation in the MBA 95th Annual Convention in October, 2008, DocMagic transcended its commitment to providing superior customer service to its customers by donating DocMagic bunnies to a child care facility in Des Moines, Iowa, that services low-income families. Over 85% of these families receive childcare subsidies, and many parents are immigrants from war-torn countries like Somalia.
At the MBA Annual Convention, Tracey Adamowski, a convention attendee, showed an immediate interest in DocMagic's "Fireman Doc Bunny." Tracey informed Don Iannitti, DSI's President and CEO, that she was affiliated with the Des Moines Child Care Facility and wondered if he would consider donating bunnies to the Facility's children. Without hesitation, Don responded with an enthusiastic "Yes". Tracey appeared skeptical and took only two bunnies from the DocMagic booth, but, after some time had elapsed, she returned and asked Don if he was serious about donating the bunnies, because his initial response was so spontaneous. Don reassured Tracey that he WAS serious and proceeded to donate the Fireman Doc Bunnies.
DocMagic is pleased to learn that the children at the Facility loved the bunnies. Furthermore, the bunnies were able to serve as a useful learning tool for the children at the Facility. Following is an email from Tracey Adamowski to DocMagic, Inc.'s President and CEO, Don Iannitti, in response to a donation of our seasonal "Doc" bunnies.
Dear Don,
I am sorry that it has taken me a while to send a "thank you" for donating the 28 DocMagic Firefighter Bunnies for Oakridge Early Enrichment Childcare Center here in Des Moines, Iowa. I was waiting until I had the perfect opportunity to give the bunnies to the children and then share the pictures of the event with you. Today was the perfect day since over the past few weeks the children have been learning about community helpers and they had the fire department out on Friday with the big, red truck!
Today, with the help of the bunnies, we reviewed some safety topics like, "Stop, Drop, and Roll". With their bunnies, the children demonstrated this idea. They were thrilled when they realized that they could keep their bunnies and bring them home to show what they had learned! I brought in a firefighters costume for the children to wear and get their picture taken with their bunnies. I will have the pictures printed, laminated with their names on them, and put a magnet on the back for the refrigerator at home!
I dropped a card in the mail with some printed photos for you to enjoy and share!
I really appreciate your donating the bunnies which now have new homes with 28 very, happy toddlers! As I mentioned the center services low income families with over 85% receiving childcare subsidies. Many of our children’s parents are immigrants from war torn countries, like Somalia. So as you can imagine, these children were thrilled by receiving such a wonderful new stuffed animal!
Take and give care,
Tracey Adamowski
The spirit of giving throughout the year is a basic tenet of DocMagic that, hopefully, DocMagic's manner of providing customer service exemplifies -- that is, not only doing what is expected or required for the customer, but going well beyond that to fully serve the customers' needs in their use of the DocMagic or LoanMagic software.
