What is SAS 70 Type II Certification?
SAS 70 is an internationally recognized accounting standard established in 1992 by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It is designed to report on a third-party service provider's operational controls and their effectiveness. SAS 70 certification is achieved through an audit or examination that is conducted by an independent auditor. SAS 70 is the subject of increased interest in the face of regulatory mandates such as Sarbanes-Oxley. A Type II SAS 70 certification is the highest level of certification attainable.
Why is this Important for DocMagic Customers?
SAS 70 Type II certification provides DocMagic customers with independent auditor validation of the procedures and controls in place within DocMagic's services and software. The SAS 70 Type II certification demonstrates DocMagic's continued commitment to provide customers with the most reliable, current, and accurate service and to meet the rigorous operational controls associated with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Being SAS 70 certified, DocMagic provides assurance that our service can be used with confidence and that our team is your trusted partner.
