As previously announced, DocMagic has released new versions of FHA-specific notes, riders, and security instruments based on the updated Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (“GSEs”) uniform instruments published in July 2021. While these new documents have been released, they will not yet be made available for customer use as FHA has also today published Mortgagee Letter (ML) 2023-01 with updated instructions for modification of the GSE uniform instruments.
FHA has provided new instructions for Model Mortgages and Model Notes (2023 GSE Forms) on the Single Family Model Documents web page along with adding a link for the instructions in the Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1.
The announcement provides that FHA will continue to accept both the 2001 GSE security instrument and note and the new 2023 GSE security instrument and note with authorized modifications.
DocMagic will be releasing the updated FHA-specific notes, riders, and security instruments with FHA authorized modifications on February 16, 2023 for optional use.
