GSEs Publish Updated Interactive Spanish Translation Aids for the Redesigned URLA

On June 30, 2020, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (the “GSEs”) published a joint announcement regarding the release of interactive Spanish translation aids for each component of the redesigned Uniform Residential Loan Application (“URLA”).  The aids are non-executable versions of the URLA forms translated into Spanish to aid borrowers in completing the English version of each section of the form.

Per the announcement, the Spanish translation aids are up to date with all changes announced regarding the revised URLA, and the “data entry functionality has also been changed where necessary to align with the English interactive URLA components.”

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have each published the following to their URLA web page:

  • Spanish Borrower Information
  • Spanish Additional Borrower
  • Spanish Unmarried Addendum
  • Spanish Lender Loan Information
  • Spanish Continuation Sheet

DocMagic will announce a release date for the availability of the Spanish translation aids prior to the new URLA effective date of January 1, 2021 and will continue to provide updates regarding all our ongoing work to support the implementation of the revised URLA.

If you have any questions, please contact DocMagic’s Compliance Department.
