Torrance, Calif., August 11, 2025 – DocMagic, Inc., a leading provider of fully compliant loan document generation, regulatory compliance, and comprehensive eMortgage services, today announced that Chief Operating Officer Lori Johnson has been named one of Mortgage Professional America’s Elite Women 2025 — her second time receiving the prestigious honor.
Now in its ninth year, MPA’s Elite Women list recognizes 40 exceptional female leaders who have made an enduring impact on the mortgage industry. Nominees were evaluated on their professional achievements, innovations, and contributions to advancing the industry.
“It’s an honor to be recognized alongside so many inspiring women,” said Lori Johnson. “This award reflects the hard work of our entire team and our shared commitment to driving innovation and empowering others in the mortgage industry.”
Johnson’s career spans decades in mortgage technology, beginning as one of the first employees at Document Express, where she rose to President and ultimately spearheaded its 2014 acquisition by DocMagic. Over the past year, she has led key operational innovations, including expanding DocMagic’s remote-based eClosing implementation model, which has significantly reduced costs and accelerated go-live timelines for clients across the mortgage ecosystem.
In 2024, following the unexpected passing of DocMagic’s founder, Johnson executed a rapid succession plan while assuming many of his responsibilities—ensuring stability and continued growth for the company. She is also a passionate mentor, guiding women both within DocMagic and across the mortgage sector to develop their skills, advance their careers, and engage in leadership opportunities.
“Lori’s leadership, resilience, and ability to execute under pressure have been nothing short of extraordinary,” said Pat Theodora, CEO of DocMagic. “Her influence extends well beyond our company, shaping the future of mortgage technology.”
