HUD is extending the public comment period on its proposed rule on the Secure and Fair Enforcement Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE) Act to March 5, 2010. HUD's SAFE Act proposed rule published in the Federal Register on December 15, 2009, and the public comment period was originally scheduled to close on February 16, 2010.
