DocMagic Update to Selection of eNotes in Virginia

Fannie Mae instructions for Virginia uniform notes provide for a notary certification to be added to the end of the note as optional language.  The notary certification attests to a statement of fact as to which note and security instrument were signed together by the borrower.  Virginia notaries public are specifically empowered to make this certification.

DocMagic’s standard note provided in Virginia includes this notary certification.  DocMagic makes alternate versions of all Virginia notes available without the certification language added.

The optional notary certification placed after the borrower signature lines that reads:

This is to certify that this is the Note described in and secured by a Deed of Trust dated ________, ___ on the Property located in _________, Virginia.

My Commission Expires:

Notary registration number:                                                       ______________________

Date of Notarization:                                                                                   Notary Public

Place of Notarization:

On September 2, 2021, DocMagic will update the default selection for Virginia eNotes only to select the alternative version without the notary certification.  DocMagic will continue to return the version with the notary certification for standard notes (non eNotes).

Clients may utilize alternative versions of Virginia notes in packages upon request.  If you have any questions or wish to make a change regarding the version being selected for Virginia notes, please contact DocMagic’s Customer Service
