OCC Updates Agency Address for ECOA Notice

On August 5, 2021, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (“OCC”) issued Bulletin 2021-35 to provide updated names and addresses that are required to appear on notices under the Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Housing Act, and Equal Credit Opportunity Act (“ECOA”).

Under Regulation B, the ECOA notice is required to identify the federal agency that supervises a creditor and lists the agency’s address.  The OCC supervises institutions with less than $10 billion in assets and the CFPB supervises institutions with more than $10 billion in assets.

The new address that OCC-supervised institutions should list on ECOA notices is:

Office of the Comptroller of the Currency

Customer Service Assistance Group

P.O. Box 53570

Houston, TX 77052

Bulletin 2021-35 states that banks supervised by the OCC must make necessary updates to related notices and posters within 90 days of the bulletin issue date.

Accordingly, DocMagic will provide the updated address for clients that are selecting the OCC for ECOA notices as of September 16, 2021.  General disclosures that will reflect the update include the following: Federal Equal Credit Opportunity Act Notice (ECOA.LSR); Disclosure Notification (DN.MSC); and Statement of Credit Denial, Termination or Change (SOCD2.SC) (SOCDCS.MSC).
